Guest Speaker

In 1961, Josh McDowell joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ International. Not long after, he started the Josh McDowell Ministry to reach young people worldwide with the truth and love of Jesus. Well known as an articulate speaker, Josh has addressed more than 10 million young people, giving over 24,000 talks in 118 countries. In the United States, Josh and his team have created many cutting-edge live events to help young people stand strong and firm in their faith in the face of a rapidly- changing culture. Josh will tell anyone that his greatest joys and pleasures come from his family. He and his wife Dottie have been married 40 years. They have four children and five grandchildren

Need a break? Join with your friends for a great weekend getting to know others from the south west who want to grow in their relationship with God and make an impact for Him in the world. Have fun building relationships, looking at God’s word, enjoying the snow and more!

When: February 17th-20th, 2012

Location: Pine Summit, Big Bear, CA

Speakers: Sean McDowell, Ryan Sharp

Cost: $175 before January 15th, $195 after. (Make checks payable to Student Venture.) There will be additional costs for skiing or snowboarding.

Band: Jimmy Roberson

Transportation: We will meet at the Emmanuel Faith Community Church parking lot at 3:30pm and take buses up to Big Bear.

What to bring: Sleeping bag/pillow, towel, toiletries, Bible, notebook, pen, warm clothes, warm jacket. Spending money for snacks.
